Moda Living is committed to providing high-quality electric fireplaces and ensuring reliable products and excellent service. This warranty policy outlines the terms for repairs or replacements in the event of material or workmanship defects.

1. Standard Warranty Coverage

Moda Living offers a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase for all electric fireplaces. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. If a defect occurs within the warranty period and a valid claim is received, Moda Living will, at its discretion:

  • - Repair the product using new or refurbished parts, or
  • - Replace the product with an equivalent new or refurbished product, or
  • - Provide replacement parts for customer installation, if applicable.

This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the product.

2. Extended Warranty Options

For extended protection, Moda Living offers optional extended warranty plans for purchase:

  • - 1-Year Extended Warranty: Adds 1 extra year of coverage, for a total of 2 years.
  • - 2-Year Extended Warranty: Adds 2 extra years of coverage, for a total of 3 years.
  • - 3-Year Extended Warranty: Adds 3 extra years of coverage, for a total of 4 years.

The extended warranty provides the same coverage as the standard warranty and must be purchased at checkout or within 30 days of the original purchase date.

3. What is Not Covered by the Warranty

This warranty does not cover:

  • - Normal wear and tear, cosmetic damage, or minor imperfections that do not affect the functionality of the product.
  • - Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, neglect, unauthorized modifications, or unauthorized repairs.
  • - Damage resulting from power surges, electrical supply issues, water exposure, fire, or other external factors beyond our control.
  • - Products used for commercial, rental, or industrial purposes.
  • - Consumable parts, including but not limited to light bulbs, fuses, and batteries.
  • - Issues related to improper maintenance, such as failure to clean or care for the product according to manufacturer guidelines.
  • - Installation of the electric fireplace in an outdoor setting.
  • - On-site or in-home services; these services may be performed at the purchaser’s request and expense at Moda Living’s then-current rates.
  • - Direct, indirect, or consequential losses or special damages of any kind (including costs of collection and delivery), other than repair or replacement of products or components under this warranty, where any goods are acquired or used for business purposes.
  • - Labor costs related to the removal or reinstallation of the electric fireplace.
  • - Any external mantel or surrounding structures.

4. How to Make a Warranty Claim

If your electric fireplace experiences a defect covered under this warranty, please follow these steps:

1. Contact Moda Living Customer Service, providing the following details:

  • - Proof of purchase (receipt or order confirmation).
  • - A description of the issue, including photos or videos if applicable.
  • - Serial number of the product (if available).

2. Moda Living will assess the claim and determine if the issue qualifies under warranty coverage.

3. If approved, we will provide repair or replacement instructions, which may include sending replacement parts, arranging a return, or offering a replacement unit.

5. Consumer Guarantees

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the product repaired or replaced if it fails to meet acceptable quality standards and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

This warranty provides additional benefits and does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
